The Lunchbox Diner is located in the industrial area just off 142 Street at 115 Ave.I went to the Lunchbox Diner for breakfast with a couple of friends and all 3 of us were extremely impressed with the food. We went around 10 am and because the diner is in an industrial area, we were the only customers. I assume that it would be filled to capacity at lunch time as the food is very good and not at all skimpy and the service was excellent. We were full and my friend ended up taking home half of her breakfast croissant. We definitely plan to return and might go for lunch this time.

Absolutely loved this place!! The staff were welcoming, the atmosphere was very comfortable and calming (feels like I am at my family home in Saskatchewan). Took a risk and ordered the Chef’s Mistake (traditional breakfast girl), it was delicious I am an early riser and so I love a good breakfast, and they did it well! Can’t wait to come back again

Always amazing food, friendly and quick service , and great value. The portions are big, and cooked to order. Rotating hot specials are like eating home cooked meals! The burgers are massive and the fries are cooked seasoned really well. Love coming here whenever we get the chance. We also really appreciate the space is like a time capsule, and always feels so familiar and comfortable.

A great spot in the 'diner' tradition (open 0900-1400 Mon.-Fri.) We two had breakfast on a Tues. At 10:30. We were the only customers! The diner is in a commercial area and caters to the lunch trade. One of us had the standard sausage, eggs (3), panfries, toast, and coffee. The other had the farmers 3 egg omlette (includes bacon & panfries inside) with toast and coffee. The food and service were great, with large portions. The coffee was good. More people came in as lunchtime approached. We did chat with the owner a bit - who previously cooked at a well-known local German restaurant (now sadly closed). It shows - since schnitzel and goulash are also on the menu!Note: Cash or Debit Cards only; no credit cards. We highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast or lunch. 5 stars all round.

Definitely a case of don't judge a book by its cover. When you first arrive at this little gem in an industrial area you may hesitate to go in. Don't! Its like time warping back to the eighties inside but the food is good simple favourites. It's like a small town mom and pop dinner right here in Edmonton. A definite must for lovers of the diner

Seriously though!I was craving a good sandwich for lunch, and this place was a block from where I was running an errand. So happy I stopped in. Soup and sandwich deal for 12...and what a sandwich!I will definitely be back.
